Our Story

Frustrated with the expensive process of looking for a counselor herself, Ritu, a Harvard University Grad found an acute lack of well qualified counselors who knew the culture around college admissions and had a good network of alums to connect her with. MyIvyAlly was founded to bridge this gap and educate students on college admissions. Personalized attention from our team of Ivy League graduates help students through the college admissions process as they know exactly what's it like.Founded in 2013 under MyIvy and now rebranded to include a wider access to college counselors, we are proud to have helped hundreds of students from across the world gain admissions into their top 3 choice of colleges​

My Ivy Ally is an Ally to every student who is looking for guidance with college application, profile building, scholarship search and visa processes for our international students.

With our unparalleled research, experience and knowledge we will help you get  to your dream institution. Coaches/Allies

John

As a counselor advising applicants to undergraduate institutions, business schools, and other graduate schools, students whom John has advised students who have gained admission to the most selective universities in the United States, including Harvard, Princeton, Yale, Stanford, Caltech, MIT, Penn, Columbia, and UC-Berkeley. John graduated from Princeton University with a degree in English and earned his master's in public policy, at Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government. John is a member of the Overseas Association for College Admission Counseling and an associate member of the Independent Educational Consultants Association

Kyle

Kyle graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. Kyle's tutoring experience includes SAT, ACT, U.S. and world history, ISEE, SSAT, GMAT, GRE, SHSAT, statistics, Spanish, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and college essay writing. Kyle has advised students who have gained admission to UPENN, Dartmouth, Duke, Caltech, UC Berkeley, NYU, Columbia, CMU.

A Long Island native, Kyle enjoys golf, snowboarding, reading and travel

Joe

Dr. Joe is a college and medical school admissions expert who has helped hundreds of students get into top schools such as Yale and MIT. He is also a former Cornell admissions interviewer. He taught himself everything he needed to know to graduate debt-free with his B.S. in Human Development from Cornell and his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from UCLA. Joe has been featured on The Washington Post, NBC, and HuffPost, as well as been invited to speak at Stanford, UCLA, and USC. He presents on topics including standing out on college and medical school applications, writing memorable personal statements, and navigating higher education with a disability.

Joe has advised students who have gained admission to Yale, Stanford, Harvard, Brown, USC, UCLA, MIT, and Northwestern

Emile

Emile graduated from Yale University with a BA in Music Composition. While at Yale, Jake took an active role in the Yale Symphony Orchestra by performing Principal Clarinet, helping conduct rehearsals, and producing and starring in the annual Halloween Show. An avid writer and stage performer, Jake was a 2-time finalist in Yale’s “Last Comic Standing” comedy competition. In addition, he won 1st prize in the 2014 Yale College Writing Center Essay Contest for his creative nonfiction essay titled “Not Today.” He is a passionate instructor who has worked for several tutoring agencies in the US and Thailand since 2014. He has advised students on the college application process, edited essays for the Common Application, and taught classes in ESL, SAT, ACT, SSAT, AP Exams, and SAT Subject Tests. Jake believes in a fun, personalized approach to instruction. Outside the classroom, he enjoys DJing, writing creative nonfiction, and cartooning. Jake has advised students who have gained admission to NYU, Columbia, Princeton, Univ of Chicago, Northwestern, Johns Hopkins, Duke, and Cornell.

Tom

Tom graduated magna cum laude from Harvard, having designed his own concentration in Theater Arts & Performance, and then lived in Berlin, Germany to continue his study of contemporary performance. Tom is a full time tutor and as the son of a lifelong elementary school teacher and an experienced educator of all ages, Tom is passionate about helping his students to grow confident and excited about their academic work by creating plans and strategies that fit each person's unique goals, skills, and passions. Tom also listens to a lot of Fleetwood Mac. Tom has advised students who have gained admission to Harvard, Princeton, Yale, Stanford, Caltech, Brown, Columbia, and Georgetown

Rachel

Rachel is passionate about college access and student success. She attended Harvard's Graduate School of Education to earn her Master's degree in Higher Education. Rachel has been a college admissions counselor for international and domestic students for 10 years.

 

She has worked with students who have been accepted to schools like The University of Michigan, NYU, The University of California at Los Angeles, Boston College, University of Massachusetts at Amherst, University of Chicago, Northwestern, Duke, Cornell, and Dartmouth

Rebecca

Rebecca has worked with students from under served schools to top international clients helping them realize their dreams of college admissions in to top US colleges. She earned her bachelors from Harvard and graduated from Columbia Law. Rebecca has been advising students for 8 years now and considers working with students her most fulfilling job. She has successfully placed her students into top league schools as Columbia, Yale, NYU, UC Berkeley, Northwestern, Cornell, Stanford and MIT

Greg

Greg aced his SAT/ACT scores by securing a perfect score and was accepted into all top schools for his undergrad. He earned his bachelor's from Stanford and graduated from Columbia Medical School. He is passionate about teaching and working with passionate students across the world. His students have been accepted into Stanford, Columbia, Harvard, NYU, Cornell, Brown, Caltech

Nate

Nate has been tutoring since his college days to undergraduate students on his campus and continued his passion for teaching as a professional career. Nate has consulted with hundreds of students on college applications, essays, interviews etc. Nate earned his master of education from Harvard University and currently helps students across the world get into their dream colleges. His students have been accepted into many prestigious institutions as Harvard, Cornell, UT Austin, UCLA, UC Berkeley, NYU, Columbia and MIT
